Wire Crochet
What is Wire Crochet?
Wire crochet is exactly what it sounds like - crocheting with wire instead of yarn. You use the same crochet hooks and the same stitches. I use the chain stitch and single crochet - but the results look very different. With yarn crochet everything is tight and closed, no gaps allowed. With wire crochet, you get a much more open almost lacey effect. I've used wire from 28 gauge (quite thin) up to 22 gauge; my preference is 24 gauge. The look of the piece will vary depending on the gauge and stones being used. My pieces are made using tarnish resistant copper wires in natural, antique or silver-plated finish. We have a wide selection of items: Necklaces, Bracelets, Earrings and even Rings. No two are completely alike so they are truly one-of-a-kind creations. If you have specific need in mind please inquire about the possibility of a custom creation and if at all possible we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
